Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) for DSP Firmware and Industrial Communication | Technician, Electronics Technician or Engineer

With you on board, we would like to drive forward the development of highly innovative technology in the field of microwave heating and plasma technology.

Your tasks

  • Development, optimization and maintenance of firmware for switched mode power supplies (SMPS) and microwave generators based on DSPs, preferably TI C2000
  • Implementation of control, measurement and protection functions, e.g., PID controllers, PWM, ADC and fault detection
  • Implementation of communication interfaces to the PLC, preferably PROFINET, as well as e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus or CAN
  • Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting in the laboratory in close cooperation with the hardware team
  • Documentation and version control of the source code

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training (e.g., electronics technician, state certified technician) or a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or a related field
  • Solid practical experience in programming DSPs or microcontrollers in C, preferably TI C2000 (e.g., Code Composer Studio)
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols, preferably PROFINET
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics is an advantage
  • Independent, structured and solution oriented working style, as well as the ability to become familiar with existing projects quickly
  • English language skills at level B2 or higher (CEFR); German language skills are an advantage
